What do you do when prescription drugs cost too much? Gran and her friends at the Blooming Cactus Independent Living Center in Yuma, Arizona, have some creative ideas… and things get more exciting when her grandson Joey comes to stay with her! LCT is excited to present “Blooming Cactus” by Sally Jane Kerschen-Sheppard, a farcical comedy about serious stuff! The show features Kristina Kupihea, Rob Marland, Michelle Pittenger, Craig Scott, Leslie Story, Eli Wells, and is directed by Larry McLellan. Performances will take place at Stone Pine Hall, 210 South H St., on Fri., May 8 at 7:30 pm, with matinees on Sat., May 9 at 2:00 pm and Sun., May 17 at 2:00 pm. Tickets will be available for $20 at the door ($15 for seniors, students and military) one half hour before each show.
In addition, dinner theater performances will take place at The Mission Club, 4300 Clubhouse Road, on the evenings of Fri., May 1 and Sat., May 23 (doors open at 5:30, dinner at 6:00) with matinees in the afternoons of Sun., May 3 and 24 (doors open at 12:30, lunch at 1:00). Dinner theater reservations are required by the Monday prior to each performance. Reservations are available at www.freshtix.com/organizations/LompocCivicTheatre (coming soon!) or by contacting LCT.
